Laser communication is a well known technology now a days.
It has numerous applications and a lot of benefits that are helping mankind.In
this article we will discuss about how it works. It comprises of two parts one is transmitter
and other is receiver.
Transmitter:-
The Transmitter involve a signal processing circuit, and a
laser. A laser diode is utilized to form the laser signal. Laser Diodes consist
of Photo diodes used for feedback to insure consistent output.
Receiver:-
This is the "Antenna" of the structure The
Receiver involve a Signal Processor and Detector (Some kind of Photo diode) that
will incarcerate and understand the incoming laser signal. Often both ends of a
laser communication system will be operational with a receiver and transmitter
Applications:-
The applications in which this technology is used are
Defense of sensitive areas and on runways of airports.
